We have so many great group fitness classes to offer on our schedules, but there is something special about Les Mills Tone (TONE). If you were to think about what a "tone" class would be you would probably think its mostly light weights working on and off a bench doing hundreds of reps...NOPE! Les Mills Tone is a group fitness class that combines cardio, strength, and core exercises using dumbbells and resistance bands in a 45-55 minute workout. Here is a beginner's guide to Les Mills Tone:
What is Les Mills Tone? Les Mills Tone is a full-body workout that combines a multi directional warm up, cardio, upper, lower body and core exercises utilizing body weight, dumbbells and resistance bands to burn calories fast.
What are the benefits of Les Mills Tone? Les Mills Tone provides a full-body workout that can help you improve your overall fitness, including cardiovascular endurance, strength, and core stability. The class is designed to burn calories, build lean muscle, and improve your overall physical health.
What to expect in a Les Mills Tone class? In a Les Mills Tone class, you can expect a combination of cardio, strength, and core exercises. After the warm up you hit steady state cardio and then increase the intensity of the cardio phase through 3 cardio peak tracks. Strength training then kicks in with a resisted cardio track followed by a dynamic cardio core. Core exercises start to get incorporated with a dynamic core track before we hit a lower and upper body strength finishing with functional core and a glute training specific track. We finish off with a cooldown and a stretch.
What equipment do I need for Les Mills Tone? You will need a set of dumbbells, a resistance band, and a mat. It's recommended to use a set of weights that is challenging but manageable for you.
What should I wear for Les Mills Tone? Wear comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes that provide support for your feet.
